Background and Inspiration for this Work

About Me

A near-death experience when I drowned at 5 years old inspired a spiritual openness within me that has persisted throughout my lifetime.  I hold a BS in medical technology and worked as a medical technologist in clinical laboratories for a little over 30 years, yet I yearned to work with people more directly and deeply in a healing capacity.  After reading Dr. Michael Newton's Journey of Souls and Destiny of Souls, many years ago, I knew that I had to learn how to conduct Life Between Lives® spiritual regression sessions- it was a calling!  In 2013 I trained for trans-personal hypnotherapy and past life regression therapy with Paul Aurand, MHt, of Holistic Healing Center, NYC, NY.  I am an IACT certified hypnotherapist.  Seeking a strong foundation for this work, I earned an MS in clinical mental health counseling from the University of Southern Maine and am a National Certified Counselor. Many clients who come to me are seeking guidance regarding their life's purposes, support with grief and other struggles, "stuckness," life transitions, finding meaning and other issues, including simple curiosity. After practicing Reiki for 13 years, I completed a yearlong apprenticeship with Patricia Keene and became a Traditional Usui Reiki Master/Teacher. Fulfilling my heart's dream, I trained with the Michael Newton Institute and am certified as a Life Between Lives (LBL)® therapist.  I apprenticed as a sound healing practitioner with Kalee Coombs of Vibrations of Joy and offer elements of sound in sessions, as well as aromatherapy using doTerra pure essential oils, and crystal/mineral therapy as guided. I served as the chief editor of The Newton Institute's "Stories of the Afterlife" quarterly journal from 2018 to 2020.

My Vision

Healing and Raising Consciousness

I am a therapist/practitioner passionately devoted to empowering clients to connect with their deeper selves in a safe and nurturing environment, thereby facilitating healing and wholeness.  My work is intended to raise awareness and understanding of oneself, and to harmonize mind, body, heart, and spirit which can also be helpful in medically complementary ways.  Ultimately, I intend to help expand the consciousness of humanity a ripple at a time. My belief is that once clients experience themselves and others as souls on a path, especially through PLR and LBL® therapy, unconditional love, acceptance, compassion, peace, and unity are achievable on Earth.

“During our lives all of us will experience opportunities for change which involve risk. These occasions may come at inconvenient times. We may not act upon them, but the challenge is there for us. The purpose of reincarnation is the exercise of free will. Without this ability, we would be impotent creatures indeed.”

Traditional Usui Reiki Master/Teacher (CRMT)

I have been certified in Reiki I since 2001. Later in 2006, I certified in Reiki II. I taught Traditional Usui Reiki I and II classes as part of my yearlong master/teacher apprenticeship and certification in 2013, and have taught Reiki I classes at Cancer Community Center as an MS in Counseling intern.  Additionally, I enjoyed a summer-long apprenticeship as a sound healing practitioner with Kalee Coombs of Vibrations of Joy, and I use elements of sound in my healing sessions, along with self-taught aromatherapy and crystal/mineral therapy.

MS in Clinical Mental Health Counseling

I hold a BS in Medical Technology and have worked in clinical laboratories for over 30 years.  I hold an MS in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Southern Maine.  My internship was at Cancer Community Center (now the Dempsey Center), where I holistically utilized a client-centered and integrative approach, with an emphasis on the spiritual dimension. Many clients I support as a counselor are dealing with loss and grief, life transitions, and the search for meaning.  I am certified by National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC) as a National Certified Counselor (NCC).
